The ERC Curiae Virides Research Project is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct quantitative analysis on how ecological conflicts emerging in the framework of Global Value Chain (GVC) activities reach courts, which is the institutional capacity of courts to understand complex environmental and economic problems and what are the consequences for victims.

More concretely,
- You will have a leading role in the team of the CURIAE VIRIDES project by conducting statistical and network analysis, as well as exploratory regression analysis, to assess how ecological conflicts emerging in the framework of Global Value Chain (GVC) activities reach courts, and which is the institutional capacity of courts to understand complex environmental and economic problems at stake.
- The research project is positioned at the intersections of sustainable development law, the analysis of (ecological) litigation, and state/corporate accountability for respecting and protecting human rights and the environment.
- You will be expected to devote most of your time to research; additional tasks will include occasional teaching activities, event organization and contributions to the overall development of the project.
- You will prepare papers, attend conferences and produce research publications individually or in collaboration with other team members.
